Bischling - the mountain ready for take-off in Werfenweng

The Bischling, a tree-covered hillock next to the impressive limestone faces of the Tennengebirge mountain range, appears rather unimposing. But getting on the cable car is worth it – it leads you to a real treat: a marvellous view! You can see from the Gosaukamm and the Bischofsmütze in the east and the Grossglockner in the south to the Hochkönig massif and the Hagengebirge in the west.

Via the modern cable car "IKARUS" designed for eight people, pilots can reach 1,830 m within a few minutes.

Because of its location on the southern side of the Tennengebirge and the good thermal conditions the Bischling, in both summer and winter, is one of the most popular Salzburg mountains for paragliders and hang gliders. Good thermal flying is already possible in February.
